[Datastream #ZRG-608224]: SSEC neartime data archive

Hi Dave,

That will either be good or bad depending on your perspective :-)

No worries.

It is likely that 'mailman' unsubscribed the address you were subscribed
under after a certain number of undeliverable email instances were
experienced.

Yup, and I have been backfilling the Unidata-Wisconsin archives on
unidata2-ssec.wisc.edu (this process should be finished by COB today).
After that, I believe that we will move away from the FTP download of
the data to the directory view provided by Apache so that users
can use 'wget' (like you) to snag what they need. The difference
in the Unidata-Wisconsin archives and the data hierarchy you are
experiencing on atm.ucar.edu is that the Unidata-Wisconsin archive
images are not PNG compressed, so one can skip the 'pnga2area' conversion
step.

Yup, the new Mollweide global composites are _much_ more useful that
the previous versions.

No worries.

Hmm... the headers might have some band information in them that was
not there previously. The examples I included in a link from
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/data/datastream.html were not affected
by this slight difference in headers.

Very good!

Cheers,

Tom
