FNEXRAD data ingest
- Subject: FNEXRAD data ingest
- Date: Sat, 27 Jul 2002 14:13:23 -0400 (EDT)
Hi,
I am trying to ingest the FNEXRAD data stream using ldm-5.1.3. From
previous emails and the help page I am using the following in pqact:
FNEXRAD ^pnga2area Q5 (RL) (.*) (.*) (.*) (.*) (........) (....)
PIPE -close
pnga2area -vl /thunder1/ldm/logs/ldm-mcidas.log
data/gempak/nexrad/NEXRCOMP/6KN0R-NAT/\4_\6_\7
but nothing is coming in, and strangely not even the log file is being
created. I checked upstream, and FNEXRAD is available to me (and it
appears in my .stats file):
ldm>notifyme -vl - -f FNEXRAD -h ldm.meteo.psu.edu
Jul 27 17:55:44 notifyme[22272]: Starting Up: ldm.meteo.psu.edu:
20020727175544.071 TS_ENDT {{FNEXRAD, ".*"}}
Jul 27 17:55:44 notifyme[22272]: NOTIFYME(ldm.meteo.psu.edu): OK
Jul 27 17:55:44 notifyme[22272]: 1968 20020727175602.242 FNEXRAD
42114066 SDUS21 KBGM 271753 /pN1RBGM
There is probably something fundemental I am missing. I am running
with ldm-mcidas-7.8.0. I also tried remaking the queue after changing the
pqact. All other data including NNEXRAD is coming in fine on my system. Is
there another way I can debug this problem?
Thanks for your time.
Brian

Hi,
Well, miraculously the floater data starting flowing in (with the log
file) last night by itself. I don't know why I couldn't get anything when
I was testing yesterday. Perhaps the product wasn't available
then for a few hours. I am noticing that only the 6KM product is coming in
now, not the 1KM or 10 KM composite.
