Charlie,

OK, this tells me that your pnga2area decode entry in pqact.conf must
be setup correctly. We just verified that hurri had received this
product via a notifyme to it:

notifyme -vxl- -f MCIDAS -o 5000 -h hurri.kean.edu

You can see from this listing that hurri received the CIMSS product
(product code CC) during the past 5000 seconds. The only thing wrong
with this, however, is that there should be no CIMSS products from
GOES-9! This is what I am looking into right now.

You seeing AREA1120 tells me that you have your pqact.conf entry
configured something like:

MCIDAS ^pnga2area Q. (..) (.*) (.*) (.*) (.*) (........) (....)
    PIPE -close
    pnga2area -d /var/data/mcidas -r \1,\2

(The output directory is most likely different.)

Thanks for keeping on top of this.

One last comment (mainly for the tracking system :-): the CIMSS
products are typically delivered pretty regularly, at least that has
been our observation over the past three weeks. There can be times
when no CIMSS product is sent, so one really has to believe the
disclaimer sent in the datastream announcement:

The images are experimental products, generated and maintained
within a research environment at CIMSS (Cooperative Institute for
  Meteorological Satellite Studies, http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu).
They are not intended to be considered operational. Timeliness,
availability, and accuracy are sought but not guaranteed.
