I regard Dee's response as positive. I guess in the McIDAS world, XCD
has to know how to file individual products instead of leaving them
in either a binary (HRS.SPL) or textual (*.XCD) spool file. If they
really do adopt some/all of the work I have done, then _perhaps_ they
will be forced into thinking about the nature of dynamic data sets.
I will remain hopeful until it is proven that I shouldn't.
