19991028: PPBB,PPDD groups for Europe/Scandinavia (fwd)

Hi Julie and Dave,

I'm forwarding an email exchange between Robert Mullenax at the National
Scientific Balloon Facility in Palestine, TX and Steve Chiswell, Unidata,
regarding additional data for Sweden, specifically, but Europe in general.
Incidentally, I did check to see if Sweden had any "additional data" listed,
relevant to WMO Res 40, and they do not.

Prior to NOAAPort, the NWS had a group who would meet to discuss additional
data to be considered for addition to the FOS. Now that we have NOAAPort, is
there such a group or committee who still convene to discuss options for
broadcasting data?

Could you respond to all of the cc'd addresses in this email about the PPBB and
PPDD groups and if it's possible to include them in NOAAPort, including how to
deal with future requests of this nature?

Thanks,

Linda

Robert,

The station 02185 TTAA appeared under the WMO CCCC collective
id ESWI in our upperair raw data file.

Here is a list of all products from ESWI in my NOAAport ingest log
for the past 2 weeks:
SISN21 ESWI
SMSN01 ESWI
SMVF01 ESWI
SMVF02 ESWI
SMVF03 ESWI
UDEU40 ESWI
UESN01 ESWI
UESN03 ESWI
UESN05 ESWI
UESN06 ESWI
UKSN01 ESWI
UKSN03 ESWI
UKSN05 ESWI
UKSN06 ESWI
ULSN01 ESWI
ULSN03 ESWI
ULSN05 ESWI
ULSN06 ESWI
USSN01 ESWI
USSN03 ESWI
USSN05 ESWI
USSN06 ESWI

So, the pattern ^U[ABDEFGHIJKLMPQRSTXZ] should be catching any upperair
products from ESWI according to those headers. It does not appear that the
PPDD or PPBB are being broadcast on NOAAport.
