Mark,

The data is being conveyed by the IDD. I took a quick look at your
system to snoop around as follows:
DATALOC ADD RTGRIDS CIRRUS.LSC.VSC.EDU

RTGRIDS CIRRUS.LSC.VSC.EDU
<LOCAL-DATA> indicates that data will be accessed from the local data directory.

GRDLIST - done
This listing tells me that you did get the 0 hour initialization data
for the 12 Z run of the MRF. By the way, this run is the AVN run. The
MRF stuff begins at H+84.
If we are talking about McIDAS scripts, I am guessing that your script
is trying to use the RTGRIDS/MRF-UW dataset instead of the RGGRIDS/MRF
dataset. The GRID file that contained the 0 hour MRF, one that we
labled as the RTGRIDS/MRF-UW dataset, used to be broadcast in the
Unidata-Wisconsin datastream. This and all other non-image products
were discontinued from the UW stream on July 1 of this year.
Again, if we are talking McIDAS, I can help you to recreate the GRID
files that would populate the RTGRIDS/MRF-UW dataset, or you can write
your script to use the RTGRIDS/MRF dataset.
Please let me know if this question really did relate to McIDAS. If it
did, I will need to advise you how to modify your DMGRID configuration
so that the AVN run of the MRF is put into its own separate set of GRID
files. Part of the change is the addition of the RTGRIDS/AVN dataset.
I included in 7.6 called UWGRID that can be used to create the
equivalent of the MRF product from the UW stream from 0 hour AVN
grids. It can also be used to recreate the NGM grid file that was in
the UW stream. We can talk more about this if your question is realted
to McIDAS.
>Thanks.
Talk to you later...
