Allen,

>I have come across the Unidata web page, and have learned that SSEC

>Wisconsin.

The archive of the Unidata-Wisconsin datastream that Unidata funds SSEC
to produce is limited to licensed Unidata sites. Unidata is funded by
the National Science Foundation to support atmospheric science research
and education in universities in WMO Region IV. From your email
address, I would guess that you are not a member of a participating
Unidata university, so you would not be allowed access to the
Unidata-Wisconsin archive.

I am including contact information for Dave Santek of SSEC:

You might be able to get data you are interested in from them
directly. Failing that, I suggest that you contact the National
Climactic Data Center in Ashville, NC. You can do a web search on NCDC
to get their homepage URL.
