RE: Alden HRS

Dee,

You've pretty much answered my questions. I still need some clarification
on what would be involved in re-configuring XCD to ingest and Alden's IDD
HRS service (and if I could do DDS+, IDS, and Tinker AWN using async ingest
at same time). In the XCD manual, I only see configuration for Family of
Services, local NOAAPORT and remote NOAAPORT ingest. Don't I need some sort
of LDM client installed on my XCD box to "point" to the Alden IDD server,
assuming that a client-server relationship of this type exists? Or will
Alden just give me an address that I plug into the NBIN.CFG file?

Also, do any other XCD users do this sort of thing through a firewall?

Thanks,

Bryan
