Today's GOES-8 1245UTC and 1302UTC images

The 1245UTC and 1302UTC GOES-8 IR images for today were highly degraded
due to the temperature patch change performed this morning.

See below from NOAA:

[Today] April 28, 1999 (JD=118), SOCC Engineers will change the GOES-8
Imager
patch temperature from its LOW (94 K) to MID (101 K) set point at about
1234 GMT.
This transition will take about 30 minutes. After the MID set point is
reached, the patch will be controlled
at this temperature until about September 1999. Users should expect
slight to moderate data
degradation in the 12:45 GMT and the 13:01 GMT frames.
