Hello Coral,

The IR Imagery is the "standard" IR channel of 10.7 microns.

This alone obviously will not aid your split window technique.

I suggest visiting the URL

http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing-list-form.html

and subscribing to the list "needdata".

Once you have subscribed, you are permitted to post messages
to this group and often someone will have the data you are looking
for.

Another possible resource may be the Colorado State University, they have
a case study page for this event as well at:

http://ulysses.atmos.colostate.edu/~odie/rain.html

and they may have datasets that you could access.

Lastly, COMET maintains a data archive and I will check there to see if we
have other channels of IR (4 & 5) for this event. I will let you know what
I find.

Hopefully, somewhere we can get you the data you need.

Good luck in your research and please let us know if we can be of any
other assistance.
