Thanks for reaching out. To answer your questions:

1. It is possible to program AWIPS to different zones or parts of the world, 
but it is not a
simple task.  You would need several things:
- Host and run your own EDEX server
- Have access to all the data you want to see in AWIPS
- Have that data in a format EDEX/AWIPS understands
- Feed that data through LDM for EDEX to process
Depending on how much data you have this will require a fairly powerful machine.

2. I am not familiar with Messir-Corobor at all so I don't know if AWIPS is 
similar or not.
- You could find out more about AWIPS by downloading and playing with it 
yourself (with North
American data).
- You can check out all of our documentation which might be able to give you a 
quick answer to
whether or not it can do the things you want or not:

- You can take a look at our blog posts (probably the ones for CAVE) to see if 
any of our blogs
have covered the functionality you're looking for:

3. Again, unfortunately we are not familiar with that software, so we can't 
recommend another
software that would be comparable.
