[AWIPS #IUD-228100]: difficulty installing phython-awips course material

Hi Jim,

Since you're using Windows, I would highly recommend simply installing VMWare
Player
and downloading our Linux Virtual machine. Running the virtual machine opens
basically
a new computer (within your computer) and allows you to use Cave, web browsers,
and
python-awips.
It already has python-awips installed, so the only thing you have to do is open
a terminal,
move (using cd) into the directory with python-awips installed and run
jupyter notebook examples

This will automatically kick off the browser for you and allow you full access
to running
and editing the notebooks.

The instructions for installing the virtual machine are found here:
http://unidata.github.io/awips2/install/install-cave/#method-1-linux-virtual-machine

Please let me know if that helps?

Thanks!
