[AWIPS #PHZ-247370]: problems with installing on windows

Hi Jim,

So it looks like you were able to get the VM screen to take up the full VM
window size,
that's good.
Glad to hear you found CAVE through the Applications menu, but there should
also be an
icon on the desktop for easy access and launching as well.

As far as all the buttons being smaller, I believe that has to do with the
resolution
of VMWare player, and the fact you have a 4k monitor. I found some
documentation on
their website about creating custom resolution sizes:
https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2058577

This might be able to solve your problem: ie. create a new, larger custom
screen size
and then set the screen resolution in the VM to this new size.

Let me know if that makes sense and if it works?

Also, did you have a chance to remove caveData and try running CAVE again
natively from
your Windows machine?

Thanks.
