[AWIPS #WOM-137582]: CAVE refused connection to server question

Regardless if that works, I think the next steps are:

yum install awips2-psql awips2-postgresql awips2-database

Then see what errors those throw. If they install try starting up postgres:
sudo service edex_postgres start

Then open a new terminal - as awips user, try to connect to the database:
psql metadata

List the databases:
\l
