Hi Ray,
Looking at the index file, the 4th variable looks like it should be TP, however
the ECMWF is setting the variable as:
4:1624188:var0_1_193.surface
which 193 maps to Categorical Freezing Rain, not TP in the grib tables.
While you can change the table, that's not great since it's a parameter mapped
with all other ECMWF data.
However if you do, you will want to change (or make a site override):
/awips2/edex/data/utility/common_static/base/grib/tables/98/0/4.2.0.1.table
Then comment out the existing 193 variable and add a new one:
#193:193:Categorical Freezing Rain:non-dim:CFRZR
193:193:Total Precip:m:TP
You will also want to make changes to your styleRules (or make site/user
overrides):
/awips2/edex/data/utility/common_static/base/styleRules/gridImageryStyleRules.xml
/awips2/edex/data/utility/common_static/base/styleRules/d2dContourStyleRules.xml
Search for "TP_ECMWF", and in those styleRules add:
<parameter>TP-ECMWF</parameter>
<creatingEntity>ECMWFO</creatingEntity>
Or whatever you called your model. You can see the image attached.
Be sure to restart EDEX and CAVE (remove caveData) after these changes and I
was making sure to clear out my database as well.
