[AWIPS #KKJ-466326]: unable to determine user authorization

I'm sorry to hear EDEX is giving you some troubles.  My initial inclination is 
the same
as yours -- it could be a firewall issue.  It's important to make sure that 
there is
access to both ports 9581 and 9582, and to make sure that your CAVE machine is 
not 
filtering the traffic by IP or hostname as well.   So whatever name or ip you 
have for
your EDEX machine needs to be accessible by your CAVE client, as well as 
traffic on 
the above-mentioned ports.  The EDEX machine must be configured to allow 
traffic on
both of those ports as well.  We recommend using IP tables to manage traffic 
flow on
the EDEX server and have some instructions on our website:
