[AWIPS #DOL-475731]: AWIPS wind arrows?

Good question!  In AWIPS - yes.  In our AWIPS, currently - no.
This is a capability of AWIPS, and requires an EDEX that is specifically 
designed for
this purpose.  They are commonly referred to as a "case study" server or 
"archive" server. 

This is something we have discussed doing and want to do at some point, but as 
of right 
now we only have a "current" EDEX server running and accessible to the public.
If you have your own data, and some computing resources to spare, we might be 
able to help
you set up your own case study EDEX.  The nice thing about AWIPS is you do not 
need another
version of CAVE or installation of CAVE to use a different EDEX.  It is a 
setting in the 
preferences (and can be asked every time you start up CAVE) so you can easily 
switch between
case study server(s) and a real-time data EDEX like our 
edex-cloud.unidata.ucar.edu instance.

I hope this helps answer your question, and I'm sorry we don't have something 
running,
currently, with historical data.
