[AWIPS #NBY-360407]: Cave Client for Ubuntu

Hi Dustin,

At this time, the only officially support Linux platform is RHEL (Redhat and 
CentOS).  Our original 
developer unfortunately passed away last summer unexpectedly and our current 
AWIPS team has minimal
experience with the software.  We are sort of in a "catch up"/"spin up" mode 
and don't currently 
have any plans on expanding our OS support for different platforms.  One thing 
that *might* work,
have you considered running a CentOS VM on whatever platform you're working 
with?  We have one 
up on our website to run on a Windows OS.  That might be a (less than optimal) 
solution for you?
