[AWIPS #AEJ-967615]: Problems with data loading on AWIPS II CAVE

The file should be a .sh file? Which can be downloaded here:
http://unidata.github.io/awips2/install/install-cave/
Once you have that downloaded you need to open a terminal window.
Go to your downloads directory by typing: cd Downloads (or you might possibly
have to specify the home directory first: cd ~[username]/Downloads).
Once you've done that, then type: chmod 755 awips_install.sh and then:
sudo ./awips_install.sh --cave
After that's finished you should be able to find CAVE in the application
menu, or just type cave on the command line and it should also run it.
Let me know if that works for you.
Thanks.
