On the CentOS 6.5 operating system there exists a directory /etc/yum.repos.d/,
into which you must save the awips2.repo file. To get there, as root, perform
the following:
cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
wget http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/awips2/doc/awips2.repo
yum clean all
yum groupinstall awips2-cave -y
Those commands will download the repo file, clean the yum metadata to force
reading of the new file, and then finally install awips2-cave group on your
machine.

CAVE is a Java application that is to be installed only on 64-bit CentOS Linux
6.5. To install CAVE requires some level of linux shell experience, and
experience with linux system administration is a plus, so if there is someone
in your organization who manages your Linux systems, it would be a good idea to
get them involved in this install process. If you are not using CentOS or Red
Hat 6.5, 64-bit, you will not be able to install AWIPS II CAVE.
