IDV version 3.0

The Integrated Data Viewer (IDV) version 3.0 is a new major version of the IDV. This is a beta version release. The latest updated can be downloaded at https://downloads.unidata.ucar.edu/idv/.

This is a new major version of the IDV. New feature highlights include:

  • Grid ensemble viewing capability and diagnostic functions
  • Hovmoller display capability
  • Improved VisAD contour labels in an effort to improve publication  quality graphics
  • IDV memory allocation is now automatically done according to the user's machine specifications
  • Parameter as topography display
  • Adding LOGO
  • etc...

THREDDS Data Server version 4.2.8

The THREDDS Data Server version 4.2.8 is available. This version is recommended for all users, including production servers. The latest update can be downloaded at https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/projects/THREDDS/tech/TDS.html.

NetCDF-Java version 4.2.26

The NetCDF-Java/CDM library version 4.2.26 was released on July 25, 2011. The latest update can be downloaded from the NetCDF Java Library page at https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf-java/documentation.htm This release has a number of important bug fixes and improvements. We recommend that you upgrade to it asap.

Except for bug fixes, 4.2 is now frozen, and further development will be for version 4.3.

netCDF-C/Fortran/C++ Version 4.1.3

The Unidata NetCDF group is pleased to announce the new 4.1.3 release of the netCDF C/Fortran/C++ libraries.

Version 6.9.8 of the LDM package was released on 2011-06-10. This version is recommended for all users and  can be downloaded at https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/ldm/.
