Denver International Airport

Denver International Airport is approximately 45 miles from Boulder. Denver International Airport (DIA) serves the Denver metropolitan area, including Boulder. Shuttle services from DIA to Boulder

If you are flying in to DIA and not renting a car, locally-owned Green Ride Boulder (303.997.0238) drops and picks up at local hotels.

Public Transportation – RTD

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) provides public bus services in the Denver/Boulder area. Cash fares for local service (e.g. around Boulder) are $2.25 per one-way trip, with transfers available.

RTD service from Denver International Airport to downtown Boulder is comfortable and inexpensive. See the schedule for the AB (Skyride) route. Cash fares are $9 each way or $24 for a round-trip ticket book (Fares).

The RTD A line is a light rail service, newly opened in 2016, that runs from DIA to Union Station, Denver. A one-way fare is $9.00.

UCAR Shuttle

UCAR operates a shuttle running between the three UCAR Boulder campuses, with several other convenient stops around town. You can find information about the shuttle route and times, along with other Boulder transit topics, at the UCAR Transportation Services web site.

Washington DC Metro

The Washington DC Metro is a very efficient way to travel from Reagan National Airport to the National Science Foundation in Arlington, VA.
