Hi Joe,

I checked the 'hdparm -t' performance on the dual Athlon 2800+
machine I have in my office, and all disks reported about 51 MB/s.
I went ahead and set '-d1' in /etc/rc.local to see if it would
make any difference after a reboot, and it didn't. The bottleneck
must be somewhere else.

Thanks for the pointer to 'hdparm'!

Cheers,

Tom
