[netCDF #CSV-748021]: /usr/bin/ld: cannot open output file



Two immediate possible causes come to mind.
1. ncgen3 failed to compile -- you should see this
   in the make output
2. Did you perhaps do the ./configure and/or the make command
   while running as root?
