[McIDAS #VMB-838792]: Meteosat conversion

Question:

- when you say "run a few Meteosat images through McIDAS" what exactly
  do you mean?

I am guessing that the answer to the question I pose above is that someone
dumped data using something like AXFORM.  Am I correct in this assumption?

As far as visualizing the information in IDL, I am sorry to say that
I do not know enough about IDL to make any intelligent guesses about wat
may be going on.

Second Question:

- did the folks at NREL visualize the images in McIDAS?

  i.e., are we sure that he original images are good/usable?
