20041109: FW: NOAAPORT technical contacts

Hi Bryan,

>Since Dee is out for the rest of the day, perhaps you have some info on
>this...

Well, I am in Santiago, Chile at the moment, and the network connection
is not super, but I will try.

You should not need to make any XCD modifications on your system IF
you adopt the method that Unidata sites have been using for several
years to run XCD with the LDM. The procedure is simple and requires
use of a single Bourne shell script that is used to run either
STARTXCD, INGEBIN, or INGETEXT. I can give more details when I return
to the office after Thanksgiving (I go from Santiago to Barbados for
10 days).

Cheers,

Tom
