20040526: ADDE server on stratus (cont.)

Hi Hsie,

I finally got some time to look at ADDE serving of the RTWXTEXT and TOPO
datasets on stratus.

RTWXTEXT serving is working now from stratus.  I found that two of the
rapid access files were not being created from XCDDEC.BAT because the
numbers of stations exceeded the default setup.  This does not explain
the other ones not working, however, but they did, in fact, start
working.

The reason that the TOPO dataset was not accessible through the remote
ADDE server on stratus was that there was an error in the REDIRECTion
file, /home/mcidas/solaris/workdata/LWPATH.NAM.  The existing
REDIRECTion for AREA9* pointed at /home/mcidas when it should have
pointed at /home/mcidas/solaris/data.  I fixed this in
/home/mcidas/solaris/data/LOCAL.NAM and carried the correction through
to /home/mcidas/solaris/wordata/LWPATH.NAM.  I can see the files on
your server now with no problems.

I also found the reason for the CIMSS failures and worked with Data
Center folks to get them fixed on a machine back at SSEC.  The cause
was the ADDE server that had been hosting the original dataset died
and the DATALOC entry on the SSEC machine that pointed to it had
not been changed to point at its successor.

A random check of a few of the datasets on stratus shows that the
access works now.
