Bill,

>I think I may have summed up my situation with out the word
>'not' in the right place. So, I should have said that output
>from grdimage is correct on my workstation and wrong on the
>server for both my accound and ldm.

OK, so I am back to being mystified. It would really be useful if
I could login to the same machine as you in your account as you
to really check this out. Again, my tests here indicates that
the current grdimage.pgm in 7.613 works correctly.

>Anyway, your suggestion to check the versions of grdimage will
>be pursued by me soon. Mark is sure that everything is correct,
>but I will double check and let you know.

OK.

>I was surprised to learn that my model.gui/wafmodx.bat scripts
>do not work here on different workstations and different users.
>(Ugh!) I have added a few lines, which should not be needed,
>to force it to work. E.g., I added a REDIRECT ADD modgen.st
>". . This is just an fyi.

The question is why it didn't work. Your comment about having
to do a REDIRECT ADD tells me that there is probably a copy of
modgen.st in a MCPATH directory that does not have the correct
permissions that would allow the particular user to use/write
it.

>Also, I made changes to work with the model grids on
>your adde server while we had no grids or were under the
>impresion that we did not have the correct model grids. Since,
>I have decided that what we have is all that we are going to
>have, and that perhaps the extra model grids you have come
>from extra (as opposed to standard) ingestion.

We are doing no extra ingestion for McIDAS GRIDs, so the reason
we have more than you must be related to your ability to ingest
them through the IDD or the XCD GRID file decoding setup on
your machine.

>I would like to know if you encountered any problems running
>these scripts? If so, I need to address them. Our problems
>are likely just our problems.

I had a few, minor problems, but I can't recall exactly what
they are right now; sorry.

>I don't want to over step my welcome, but do you want the
>latest versions of these two scripts?

Yes, but I have so little time lately that I can not give
them the time that they deserve. Workshops are coming up soon
and I am traveling to Wisconsin for the McIDAS User's Group
meeting on Saturday.
