[LDM #MSO-599919]: LDM 6.11.5: Problem with ldmd.conf

If you examine the ldmadmin(1) script, you'll see that the LDM isn't started if 
the "Problem with LDM configuration-file" message is printed. Consequently, I 
don't know where that "Starting Up" message is coming from (well, I know where 
it comes from -- the LDM server -- I just don't see how).

Did the "Starting Up" message appear in the terminal window?
