Milas,

I see.

A better way to verify that the LDM on srh-ls-cpnrs1.srh.noaa.gov has the
desired data-products (one that's more direct and has fewer error modes) is to
use the notifyme(1) utility. For example, the following command could be
executed by the LDM user on the WGRFC computer:

    notifyme -vl- -f EXP -p "/data/ldad/ftp/ups2ldm/MPE/gis_text/.*" -h
rh-ls-cpnrs1.srh.noaa.gov

(Just FYI, the trailing ".*" in the regular expression adds nothing and could
be omitted.)

This command could also be executed by the LDM user on Waterdrop (the
downstream, UTA computer) to test whether or not its LDM could receive the
desired data-products. I strongly advise doing this.

I also strongly advise that you check the system clock on Waterdrop. If it's
sufficiently far in the future, then its LDM won't receive any data.

If the EXEC entry in the LDM configuration-file (etc/ldmd.conf) that's
responsible for starting a pqact(1) process uses the "-v" option in the
pqact(1) command, then the pqact(1) process will be in verbose logging mode;
otherwise, it will not.

Steve Emmerson
