Depends. pqinsert(1)'s "-i" option causes the signature (i.e., MD5 checksum)
to be computed from the product-identifier string. This is much faster than
computing it from the data of the data-product -- but you have to guarantee
that all product-identifiers are unique. If time isn't a limiting resource,
then I wouldn't change.
