[LDM #LYF-913869]: syslog facility?

What is the output from the command "grep local /etc/syslog.conf"?

Where does the log message from the command "logger -p local3.info testing..."
go?  If it goes to the "local0" log file, then the problem lies
with syslogd(8) and not with the LDM.
