Gilbert,

Try changing the commands in the script from things like
/bin/su -c "/home/ldm/bin/ldmadmin stop" ldm
to things like
/bin/su - ldm -c "/home/ldm/bin/ldmadmin stop"
That bare "-" option can be important.
