[LDM #IXG-702275]: LDM setup up problem questions

Did you download the LDM distribution as a user other than 'ldm'?  If yes, then
you will need to change the ownership of the file so that your 'ldm' user can
unpack the distribution and build.

It would help us if you sent the result of the following:

<login as 'ldm'>
cd ~ldm
id ldm
ls -alt

Also, a couple of steps in the LDM installation will need to be done by (or as)
'root'.  Do you have 'root' privilege on your machine?  If not, you will need
to contact your system administrator for help when you get to those steps.
