Hi Christian,

I am able to logon to io, but not to newton (132.208.133.10) either
from Unidata or from io. I suspect the firewall rules are preventing
my ssh access.

Also, and because of this ssh failure, I would recommend the following
test:

<as 'root' on newton>
/etc/init.d/iptables stop

<as 'ldm' on newton>
ldmadmin stop
ldmadmin start
ldamdmin watch

If you see data after turning off the firewall on newton, then we
will have discovered the reason for data transfer failure.

Don't forget to turn the firewall back on after the test.

Cheers,

Tom
