20040517: LDM under MacOS-X

Hi Dave,

The problem with MacOS-X is that it doesn't have a UNIX file-system
and things like the header-file <sys/statvfs.h> don't conform to the
UNIX standard.

I can probably port the LDM to MacOS-X, but I'll have to investigate
first and it'll probably take some work (I can't say how much).

After seeing the following note from Dave Dempsey yesterday, I quickly
tried a build on our MacOS-X machine, sid.unidata.ucar.edu.  'make'
failed with:

Please send Dave a response on the possibility of LDM working on
MacOS-X.
