RE: 20030528:UKMC LDM GEMPAK

Looking in etc/passwd I do not see any ldm user..I see myself.

You will need to edit this file to create the ldm account, as you did for
me. I would add LDM, but I do not know the group ID that you are using.

The LDM needs to share a common group id with processes that will be
writing to files and acting on them (i.e. decoders, etc...)

I also did not see the LDM software..I created /usr/local/ldm but have
stopped there as many of the other tasks need to be done as LDM..so,
either inform me what group you desire LDM to belong to, or go ahead and
add it to etc/passwd yourself, create a .cshrc file for LDM and the rest
should go smoothly...I probably will not be working this weekend, but I
may..I have no life, but lets see where we are at Monday..
