[IDV #VHF-359555]: Connection error

Hi Yan,

What interface were you using in the IDV? Your description makes it sound
like you are using McIDAS-V not the IDV.

The only public data set on server satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov is PUB;
HIMAWARI data is not served on this machine.

It looks like you tried to enter the server name as
"satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov himawari".  This should be:

Server: satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov

        The name of the server is case insensitive

Dataset: PUB

        PUB is the only public dataset served by satepsanone.nesdis.noaa.gov
        The name of the Dataset _is_ case sensitive.

As far as we know, there is no ADDE server that provides free access to
HIMAWARI data.

Cheers,

Tom
