[IDV #MTP-622521]: possible change in the order of data choices.

Yes, the variable names are indeed sorted alphabetically now, although the 
categories are not (but could be). The reason is that the derived data choices
are sometimes listed multiple times using different variables in their 
calculation.
For example, wind speed computed from u and v at the surface, using u and v at
the tropopause, the 3D grids for u and v, etc. These were scattered throughout 
the data choice listing and not always easy to get a handle on which derive 
choice 
the user actually wanted; for example, by sorting alphabetically, the user 
would see 
all of the derived wind speed choices together, and would not have to search 
through the data choice list to find the one they wanted.
