[Support #PSU-394434]: LEAD Workflow Viewing Problem

Hi Stefan-

Please send these questions to address@hidden. That way, you
will get an answer if I am out of town.

For the raw WRF netCDF output, when we calculate derived quantities, the
projection
information gets lost.

This is a function of the resampling of the grid to create the slices.
Unfortunately,
with these staggered grids, the sampling doesn't always get the correct points.

In general, we recommend that WRF netCDF data be post-processed before being
used
in the IDV. That removes the staggering, creates the standard meteorological
variables that are generally used and avoids the large memory overhead and
sampling
issues you see with the staggered netCDF grids. LEAD was supposed to include
WRFPost as a service, but I'm not sure what ever happened to that.
