[IDD #DBI-990675]: IDD for Private Company/Developers

Hi Bryce,

You have a couple of different options:

1) establish your own NOAAPort ingest capability and REQUEST data from
   that ingest machine

2) see if there is a university site participating in the IDD that is
   willing to feed you

Very good. This will make life easier for an upstream site that is
willing to feed you.

Correct.

We operate the top level IDD relay node idd.unidata.ucar.edu to support
the U.S. university community. We do feed other sites when there is a
measurable benefit to the Unidata community as a whole in providing the
feed.

If you are unable/unwilling to establish your own NOAAPort ingest capability
(which is not all that hard, but requires the installing and maintaining a
C-band
satellite dish), you will have to find an existing IDD participant that has
the datastream(s) that you are interested in and is willing to feed you,
potentially in a quid-pro-quo arrangement.

The best way to see if there is somebody that is willing to feed you is to:

- subscribe to the address@hidden email list that we maintain

  Unidata HomePage
  http://www.unidata.ucar.edu

    Support -> Mailing Lists
    http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/support/index.html#mailinglists

Click on the 'show mailing list actions' link for ldm-users and
subscribe (NB: you must be subscribed to any of the email lists
we maintain before you can post).

- and/or, subscribe to the address@hidden email list

- post a request for feed(s) to the list(s)

re:

No worries.

Cheers,

Tom
