[IDD #DSF-516290]: problem with NNEXRAD feed from idd.unidata.ucar.edu

Thanks for alerting us to this problem.

re:

I logged onto the cluster node of idd.unidata.ucar.edu to which
your machine, ingest.eol.ucar.edu, is connecting. I see lots
of indications that the node is having problems in sending
products to your machine. These look like the following on
our end:

Jan 4 14:51:22 uni8 ingest.eol.ucar.edu(feed)[10105] ERROR: Couldn't flush
connection; nullproc_6() failure to ingest.eol.ucar.edu: RPC: Timed out

We don't think that this is a systematic problem on our side since the
same node is sending the NEXRAD3 data to at least one other machine with
very low latencies (e.g., sun1.envsci.rutgers.edu).

Questions:

- have you tried restarting your LDM?

- if yes, have you tried deleting and rebuilding your LDM queue?

Just in case, I have restarted the LDM on the cluster node that
ingest.eol.ucar.edu is feeding from. Please keep an eye on your
side to see if this helped, and let us know regardless of the outcome.

Cheers,

Tom
