Hi Dave,

>Following up on the DNS errors between atm.geo.nsf.gov and twister, I just
>restarted the ldm on twister today and once again I am seeing nullproc_6
>errors, and I'm sure atm is getting errors in its log file. If I let my ldm
>go, it will eventually connect to atm, but not after an hour or so. This
>has to be some DNS or routing problem between MU and nsf.gov. Could you
>send me the DNS server(s) that atm uses

'atm' is setup with its own caching name server:

% nslookup twister.millersville.edu
Note: nslookup is deprecated and may be removed from future releases.
Consider using the `dig' or `host' programs instead. Run nslookup with
the `-sil[ent]' option to prevent this message from appearing.
Server: 127.0.0.1
Address: 127.0.0.1#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: twister.millersville.edu
Address: 166.66.44.84

>and a traceroute from atm to twister?
