Hi Pete,

Hi all,

Here's a status update. I am now ingesting into the stream ALL of the
genuine imitation DIFAX maps that we are making, and I think I have
fixed the problem with the Forecast ETA/NGM/AVN 850 4panels and the 850
panel on the ETA/ngm/avn analysis 4 panel.

Currently, the following top level nodes are feeding from
me, I assume successfully:

motherlode.ucar.edu
thelma.ucar.edu
sleet.wunderground.com
twister.millersv.edu

LSU just contacted me today, so they should be getting data soon.
Have not heard from Russ@ssec, and they are not yet pulling data.

I'm ready to go for real with this pretty much any time. I still need
to write up documentation on what is being sent out, and how to dump
it direct to the printer and/or archive the files.

If you could provide that information on the Web, that would be very helpful.

I'll put a copy of the shell script used to dump to the printer on
the web on mapmaker.meteor.wisc.edu in the same area as the map gen
scripts. Perhaps we want to put a copy up on the unidata ftp site as
well?

Comments?

Your timing is perfect, because we have a Unidata Users Committee meeting today and tomorrow. Difax is on the agenda, so it will be wonderful to point to this effort as a community service provided by the Univ of Wisc, Pete Pokrandt. Thanks again for your efforts.
