Hi Marcia,
I was able to create a working GEM file using the text file that you attached.
I'm not exactly sure why you were unable to do so.
You mentioned that you're creating a GEM file with SNCFIL before running
SNEDIT. You may try running SNEDIT alone, since if SNFILE does not already
exist, a new file will be created - this is what I did to create the GEM file.
Other than that, I'd say it may be an issue with the binary release, but I
don't know of any previous issues like this with the OS X binary.
I've attached the GEM file I was able to create for you. Try the above
simplified method and let me know if the results are any different.
