[GEMPAK #AUG-370260]: GEMPAK

Singh,

Our AIX 5.1 system succeeds here with the same compilation line.
/usr/vac/bin/xlc -v 
shows our version is:
VisualAge C++ Professional / C for AIX Compiler, Version 6

Jasper can be downloaded separately from the web, and you may have better 
results
doing that and using the supplied configure to try to determing correct
settings for your compiler.
