Brian,
WCMP and WNML are SNPARM parameters:
SNPARM=WCMP$angle and WNML$angle
Typically for gdcross, you would be using the gridded wind components and
TANG(V) and
NORM(V) (or TANGV(V) and NORMV(V)) for tangential and normal wind components,
though you could do an arbitrary angle unit vector with ROT, and then
use the VASV function to compute the component of the desired vector on the
specified rotated vector.
