[GEMPAK #IGA-368603]: Seeing no difference between BK1 and BM1 barbs

Daryl,

You need to use MAG(KNTV(WND)) to convert the WND units to knots.

See under "phelp gdplot2" the section entitled "Vector Quantities"

     Winds will be displayed in m/s, unless the KNTV operator has been
     specified in GDPFUN, in which case the winds will be displayed
     in knots.
