20051030: Gempak - Trouble decoding NDFD sectors



John,

Using the ds.temp.bin from the URL below:

cat ds.temp.bin | dcgrib2 -d - YYYYMMDDHH_ndfd.gem

No table modifications necessary.

 Opening WMO Originating Center Table wmocenter.tbl...
 Opening WMO GRIB2 Parameter Table g2varswmo1.tbl...
 Opening WMO GRIB2 Vertical Coordinate Table g2vcrdwmo1.tbl...

Since the data is grib2, the tables used are the g2vars...and g2vcrd....
Since the data is TMPK which is a parameter number less than 192, the 
wmotable is the one that is used. If you aren't seeing the g2...tables
being used, then thats not right.

The resultant file:
