20050321: color ramp

Claudia,

Defining colors using RGB values can be done in the COLORS
parameter, or through running gpcolors first. The FLINE
parameter will just refer to the colors by numbers that are defined
in one of those ways.

However, if you hae a number of colors to do a ramp,
the easiest was is to create a color table, such as
$GEMTBL/colors/coltbl.ptype which I use for ramping
precipitation type. Then, in your working directory, before
running a GEMPAK program, link or copy your table to "coltbl.xwp".

GEMPAK programs will use the coltbl.xwp in your current working directory
if found, and then look in $GEMTBL/colors if not found. The color table
will be read when the device driver first starts up, so create the
copy or link before the xw, gf, ps etc driver is run by the program.
